Professor in Communication Studies at CY Cergy Paris Université, PhD in Social Sciences at the University Paris Descartes in 2008, Luciana Radut-Gaghi has been vice-president of her university since 2019. In her research and teaching, she explores the field of media studies from a discourse analysis perspective. She has been coordinating the Lemel research network (L’Europe dans les medias en ligne) since 2014 which publishes studies on the media coverage of Europe (2017), on Europe’s past and memory and the media discourse of commemoration (2021), and on the journalistic mise-en-scene of the war in Ukraine narrative (2025). Her current research deals with the presence of the scientific discourse in the society.
